Modest Kouture Company Policies

1. General Overview

Modest Kouture is an online marketplace dedicated to providing a platform for buying and selling modest clothing, jewelry, and accessories. By using our platform, users agree to abide by the following policies to ensure a safe, fair, and respectful shopping experience.

2. Seller Guidelines

• Product Listings: Sellers must accurately describe their items, including condition, materials, and sizing. Only modest clothing, jewelry, and accessories are allowed.
• Quality Standards: Items must be clean, in good condition, and free from damage unless clearly disclosed.
• Prohibited Items: Offensive, inappropriate, or non-modest items are not permitted.
• Pricing & Offers: Sellers set their own prices. Buyers can make offers only if the seller enables that option.
• Shipping & Returns: Sellers must ship orders within the specified timeframe. Returns are subject to the seller’s individual policy, which must be clearly stated in their listings.

3. Buyer Responsibilities

• Respectful Communication: Buyers must interact respectfully with sellers and avoid fraudulent activities such as chargebacks or false claims.
• Purchase Agreement: All purchases are final unless the seller allows returns. Buyers should review product details carefully before purchasing.
• Payment: Payments must be made securely through the platform’s provided methods. External transactions are not allowed.

4. Payment & Fees

• Commission: Modest Kouture takes a small percentage of each sale to maintain the platform. Fees are disclosed at the time of listing. Commission is 20% for all orders totaling 15$ or more. For all sales under 15$, Modest Kouture takes a flat commission of 2.95$.
• Payouts: Sellers receive their earnings through the designated payment method after the transaction is completed.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Counterfeit & Misleading Listings: Selling fake, stolen, or misrepresented items is strictly prohibited.
• Hate Speech & Harassment:  Any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate conduct will result in immediate account suspension.
• Off-Platform Transactions:  All transactions must be completed within Modest Kouture to ensure buyer and seller protection.

6. Dispute Resolution

• Order Issues: Buyers and sellers should attempt to resolve disputes amicably. If an issue arises, Modest Kouture’s support team can assist in mediation.
• Refunds & Returns: Sellers must clearly state their return policy. If an item is significantly misrepresented, buyers may request a resolution through customer support.

7. Privacy & Security

• User Data: Personal information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
• Secure Transactions:  All transactions are protected through secure payment processing.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

• Policy Violations: Users who violate company policies may receive warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
• Appeals: Users may appeal account suspensions by contacting customer support with valid justification.

By using Modest Kouture, users agree to these policies. We reserve the right to update policies as needed to enhance the marketplace experience.

9. Authenticity Disclaimer

Modest Kouture is not responsible for the authenticity of luxury items purchased through our platform. Buyers are solely responsible for verifying the legitimacy of such items before completing a purchase. All transactions are made at the buyer’s own risk, and Modest Kouture assumes no liability for counterfeit or misrepresented products.

10. Shipping Label Policy

  1. Initial Shipping Label Creation

 • Shipping labels are not automatically generated when an order is placed.
 • Once an order is received, the vendor is responsible for:
 • Logging into their vendor dashboard.
 • Creating the shipping label manually.
 • Selecting the shipping provider.
 • Entering the shipping date and tracking number.
 • Supported shipping providers include:

 2. Return Shipping Labels

 • Return labels must be manually created by the vendor.
 • In cases of disputes or non-response, the admin may intervene to provide the return label.
 • Once created, the return shipping label should be sent to the buyer via email or message.

3. Dispute Resolution & Support

 • If there is a dispute regarding shipping, the buyer and vendor should first use the live chat feature available on the platform.
 • If unresolved, the issue will be escalated to the Modest Kouture admin team for review and resolution.
